Pathways Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Pathways Scholarship, students must have maintained academic success throughout high school. Most Pathways recipients have achieved this success by persevering in the face of challenges.

To be considered for the Pathways Scholarship, students must apply to Champlain, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and complete this application form. Students may be nominated for the scholarship by a high school guidance counselor, Champlain admissions counselor, or by self-nominating.

Pathways Scholarship recipients are typically eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, but students with any amount of financial need will be considered. The scholarship amount is based on your housing status and is determined using the Student Aid Index (SAI) from your FAFSA and any federal and/or state grants you are eligible to receive. Students living in campus housing will receive scholarship assistance equal to tuition and standard fees.

Any outside scholarships you receive are used to reduce your expected share of the costs first; Champlain scholarship assistance is only reduced when your overall aid exceeds your cost of attendance. Sample Pathways Scholarship Assistance.

The AHEAD Program gave me information to navigate starting college while helping me form deep and lasting friendships that will stick with me for years to come.
