About the Miller Information Commons

The award winning Robert E. & Holly D. Miller Information Commons (MIC) is the heart of the campus featuring friendly, knowledgeable service, a tailored print and digital research collection, new technology, beautiful architecture and a stunning view. It’s your home for creation, collaboration, inspiration, and academic success.

The Miller Information Commons was named to honor Robert and Holly Miller, whose generosity made it a reality. Truex, Cullins & Partners Architects won the Hertzel Pasackow Award for significant contributions to the physical or architectural quality of downtown Burlington for their design. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on May 2, 1997 and the building was completed on April 30, 1998.
