Breathtaking views of Lake Champlain everywhere you look, the scenic ridge of the Adirondack Mountains in the distance, fall foliage that brings spectators to Vermont every autumn, and residence halls that foster a close sense of community—these are just a few of the things to look forward to in your new home.
Housing at Champlain isn't like college housing everywhere else. We've got everything, from the modernism of downtown apartments to the historic splendor of our Victorian mansion residence halls, there's not a bad option on the whole campus. Click on the links below to learn more about our various housing options and start imagining what living on campus will be like.
Student Housing
All first-year students live in one of our restored Victorian-era mansions (as space allows). These beautiful stately homes exude history, Victorian charm, and student community. You can choose to live in one of the Victorian mansions all four years, or go for one of our other housing options. Check out the line up of Victorian-era mansions.
Want a different vibe after your first year? We have amazing residence halls that feature modern, suite-style rooms. Some of them are right in the middle of campus and some give you a little distance (walking distance, that is) and are located in spots near campus in the famous Burlington Hill Section. See our suite-style residence halls.
If you eventually want to put a little more distance between school and home, we have our modern 194 Saint Paul Street Apartment-Style Residence Hall in downtown Burlington. These apartments are located just a few blocks from Champlain's Main Campus, and are only three blocks from the waterfront (a number of the rooms have great views of Lake Champlain). Vibrant, safe and fully furnished—each apartment is outfitted with a variety of amenities and sustainable design features. Free shuttles run between our Main Campus, the apartments, and Lakeside Campus on a regular basis.
While we have amazing on-campus housing options, we do have students who choose to find their own housing in Burlington. There are certainly wonderful options all around the city. You can check out the resources we have for upper-class students to help find local housing, as well as our On-Campus Resources page that details special programs for our commuter students, such as on-campus lockers, bike racks, and other amenities.
