The SMART (Study Mentors And Resource Tutors) Space is your headquarters for academic success. The resources and programs below are designed to help you meet your educational and career goals. Make the most of the Champlain experience with academic coaching and subject-area tutors.

Appointments Based on Your Needs

Choose to work with a coach once a week, a few times a month, or on an as-needed basis depending on your needs. It’s easy to book an appointment for a one-on-one appointment!

    Academic Coaching

    Academic coaches work with you one-on-one to help you create personal plans for academic success. Coaches can help you manage your time, improve your study skills, advocate for yourself, build your reading comprehension, and stay on top of your assignments throughout the semester. Make an appointment for one-on-one coaching or writing help using the link below. (Be sure to use Google Chrome when making an appointment).

    24/7 Online Tutoring – Brainfuse

    In addition to the resources provided by Champlain coaches and tutors, students can find online tutorials in math, business, writing, and the sciences, as well as a full range of study resources including writing manuals, sample problems, research tools, and study skills manuals at Brainfuse.

    Looking for additional help in your courses? Take advantage of the extra help you can get from our Peer Tutors! All tutors are upper-class students who have been recommended by Champlain faculty and trained by SMART Space staff.

    SMART Space facilitates workshops that are designed to help you excel throughout your academic experience and build key skills, such as time management, note taking and reading strategies, goal setting, working in teams, and so much more.

Having someone understanding and supportive on your side to help you advocate for yourself is invaluable during the college experience, especially when they also have helpful advice to give and are knowledgeable about how classes work.
