Want to see the world? Why wait?
Champlain makes it easy to embark on a life-changing semester (or two) in distant areas of the globe. All our majors are designed to accommodate a semester studying in a foreign country. With Champlain Abroad Dublin, Champlain Abroad Montreal, exchange programs, and third-party programs, the possibilities are nearly limitless for exploring unique landscapes and different cultures.
In addition to taking classes and living in a new place, studying abroad is an opportunity to confront your own assumptions, meet new people, embrace curiosity, and gain a richer understanding of the world by truly realizing what it means to see from a global perspective.
Wherever you'd like to go, your advisors will work with you to ensure your study-abroad experience suits your interests and fulfills your academic goals and requirements.
Dublin is an active, energetic, capital city with a young population and a friendly town feel. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, Dublin is a hub for global corporations as well as small start-up companies. Founded in the 9th Century as a Viking settlement, Dublin is now the political, cultural and economic center for Ireland. Students in Dublin enroll in at least 15 credits to comply with Irish Immigration. School of Social Innovation students are encouraged to enroll in a rewarding international service learning course (EHS 300) that connects in-depth community involvement with academic learning through field placements.

This is also an excellent opportunity to diversify our Burlington campus as we welcome students from our exchange partners for a semester or full academic year.

France, ESC Rennes School of Business in Rennes
In France, Champlain students study at the ESC Rennes School of Business, a college of approximately 450 students that is located a short 10-minute walk from the center of Rennes. Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is regarded as one of the most appealing places to live in all of France-and that's saying a lot. It's also just two hours from both Paris and London.
Champlain also offers students the option to study abroad through pre-approved third-party providers. Past Champlain students who have found a program that meets both major and program requirements have studied in locations such as France, India, Sweden, Costa Rica and Australia.
