Recently, Champlain College successfully completed the most comprehensive
fund-raising campaign in its history, The Power of Three: Giving
students room to grow. The campaign was publicly announced
May 14, 2002 and ended with $15 million raised towards three building projects, all now built and in use by our students.
To help continue the tradition of excellence
and prepare students for the challenges of todays workplace,
Champlains Board of Trustees, administration and faculty
developed three initiatives central to the Colleges
mission and future:
Center for Global Business and Technology
Student Life Complex
Main Street Suites and Conference Center
The buildings themselves are only one element of the Champlain
vision. Pivotal to the future of the College, these facilities
form the foundation for emerging programs and enhanced campus
life. Together they herald a new era of extraordinary accomplishment
at Champlain.
Quotes
of Note
“At a time when even the best endowed
schools are cutting back in the belief that educational
economics is a “zero sum game,” that the concept
of innovation and productivity are not relevant to education,
Champlain is demonstrating a creativity and resourcefulness
that is a role model for the students, the communities it
serves and any other college that wants to try. This type
of leadership deserves to be celebrated and replicated.
It is exciting and rewarding to help support an institution
that can literally change the world.”

"Champlain invites creativity and
vision from all of us. We are extremely fortunate to have
them right here in Vermont."
- Governor Howard Dean
Governor Dean was referencing Champlain at a
press conference on campus where Champlain was collaborating
with the State of Vermont on helping spearhead a corporate
"Work at Home" program for Vermonters. |
