Located just one block from the city's central business district, our 194 Saint Paul Street Student apartments are conveniently located in downtown Burlington. While this outstanding location means easy access to a number of excellent transportation options, there are also tough restrictions around vehicular parking.
Parking
- NO student vehicular parking is permitted, either on-site or in the adjoining neighborhood, at any time. Consistent with College policy, students bringing a vehicle to campus must register the vehicle with Champlain. Dedicated parking is available at 115 Lakeside Avenue in the residential student Zone 2 lot.
- If easy access to your vehicle is critical (for example, if you’re an Education major with an early morning student teaching gig at a suburban elementary school), we recommend you choose an on-campus housing option closer to our Zone 5 parking lots. Zone 5 lots are available for students who meet specific eligibility criteria.

Walking
A huge perk of this downtown location is its walkability. Walk up Maple Street and reach the main campus in less than 10 minutes or the Lakeside campus in less than 20 minutes. Other Burlington hot spots are only a few minutes away: Lake Champlain waterfront (six minutes), Church Street Marketplace (five minutes) and City Market (downtown location, nine minutes).

Bicycle Parking
Ample bicycle parking is provided on-site, with both short-term spaces outside and long-term indoor storage options in two purpose-built bike rooms, which include repair stands, tools and a pump.

City Buses
The apartments are in a prime location for multiple city bus routes and within a 10 minute walk of the downtown Transit Center. Use your Champlain ID to ride any city bus for FREE!

Champlain College’s FREE shuttle buses will access the property as part of the Lakeside route to bring residents back and forth during the morning, afternoon and evenings.

A CarShare Vermont pod located in the parking garage underneath the building has been proposed. Champlain students are eligible for free annual memberships with CarShare Vermont.

CATMA Guaranteed Ride Home
Even though 194 Saint Paul Street is within close proximity to Champlain, there may be times when the shuttle is not running (and/or other transportation options are not available, safe, etc.) and you need a secure ride back to your residence hall from the main Campus or the Lakeside parking lot. We offer FREE rides in Green Cab taxis in partnership with the Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA).
