3D Art Environment Student Work

Nearly two decades of graduates. Hundreds of games. One show.

Since 2007, graduating Game Studio students have spent their last year at Champlain building something worth playing. Join faculty, students, and game recruiters from the U.S. and Canada on May 1 as we celebrate the creativity, hard work, and passion that the seniors have put into these year-long projects. (And play some games!)

The 19th annual Game Senior Show will be livestreamed from the Alumni Auditorium beginning at 5:30 PM on the day of the event. Tune in or stop by the show to check out 14 games, brought to you by 153 dedicated Game Studio seniors. Stick around after the show to get hands-on and play the games for yourself! They will be available to demo on campus in the Champlain Art Gallery starting at 8:30 PM.

Real Games Are Made Here

Whether their goal is to work in indie studios, AAA studios, or create their own studio, all Game Studio students work on a rigorous capstone project, which challenges them to work as a team to bring a game to life.

Game Experience that Matters

At Champlain, we’ve designed a hands-on experience that mimics the pipeline real game studios actually work through. Across our seven majors, students work collaboratively in the Game Studio to bring fully functional games through the entire process, from ideation and creation to promotion. The result? Experience and a portfolio that speaks for itself. That’s why we’ve been ranked one of the Top Schools for Game Design by the Princeton Review.

  • Madeline Grenier at GDC with fellow BreakABull Members

“Throughout capstone, I learned the importance of finding and taking opportunities as you see them,” says Madeline Grenier ’26 (left in the photo), a fourth-year Game Design major and member of team BreakABull.

She speaks from experience. Recently, Grenier and her team presented BreakABull at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) to some of the best publishers, recruiters, and other game design professionals in the business. That exposure and practice not only gave them a feel for what’s to come at the Game Senior Show, but a first-hand look at how the industry does business. “Take random chances at things that feel out of reach. [Those opportunities] could be a lot closer than you think!”

“I’m so excited for the Show so I can show off all the work we’ve been putting in all year,” says Greiner, whose excitement extends across all 14 of the teams presenting this year.
