Champlain Visit Scholarship
All students who attend a Pre-College Summer Academy and then enroll as an undergraduate student will be eligible for the Visit Scholarship – $1,000 per year for a total of $4,000. If admitted, your Champlain Visit Scholarship will be included in your financial aid package and will automatically renew each year as long as you’re enrolled full-time.

Vermont Cyber Start
A Dual Enrollment Program
High school students have an exciting new opportunity to get a head start in cybersecurity, one of the nation’s most in-demand fields. In partnership with NuHarbor Security, Champlain College is offering this rich academic program to prepare students for future success in cybersecurity.
Vermont dual enrollment vouchers are accepted but are not required.

How It Works

Step 1: Start with these three courses
Get a head start on your cybersecurity career by taking three college-level courses while in high school, building a strong foundation for internships and future entry-level opportunities when paired with continued education.
- Choose from a two or three-semester pathway.
- Choose to start in the fall or spring.

Step 2: Get your first internship or job
Get your first cybersecurity internship or job after high school graduation and take a fourth college course for credit while you work to develop your professional skills and turbocharge your career.
You will earn:
- Three transferable college credits (for 12 total college credits)
- A Trusted Advisor Badge recognized by NuHarbor Security
Dual Enrollment Courses
High school students can take credit-bearing courses from Champlain College while still in high school.
Enhance your high school transcript, get access to courses not offered elsewhere, and get a jump start on earning college credit.

How to Register as a Dual Enrollment Student

If you’re using Vermont Dual Enrollment vouchers…
Administered by the Vermont Agency of Education, Vermont’s Dual Enrollment program lets you take college-level classes that count toward both your high school graduation requirements and college credits.
Who Can Apply?
You can apply if you:
- Are a Vermont resident
- Have completed 10th grade (are a rising junior or senior)
- Haven’t received a high school diploma yet
- Are enrolled in a Vermont public school, Career Technical Education (CTE) Center, or are a home study student
How to Apply
- Talk to your school counselor to make sure dual enrollment is right for you.
- Create an account in the Vermont Dual Enrollment System website: https://dualenrollment.vermont.gov/vtde.
- Request a voucher through the system (your school counselor will approve it).
- Select your course using your voucher number. If your course is not listed select “Course Not Listed” and we will contact you to confirm the course name.
- Apply to Champlain College.
- Check your college email regularly for important information.
Important Notes
- Your voucher request and application must both be complete in order for us to enroll you in a course.
- Dual Enrollment vouchers may be used for on-campus undergraduate courses only.
- You can take up to two college courses for free
- Vouchers cover tuition but not textbooks, lab fees, or other materials
- You must use your vouchers before graduating high school
- If you have an IEP or 504 plan, talk to your counselor about accommodations
- Your dual enrollment course will appear on both your high school and college transcripts

If you are NOT using Vermont Dual Enrollment vouchers…
Champlain College offers non‐degree admission to students who wish to take undergraduate courses without pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Permission to attend Champlain College as a non‐degree student does not guarantee admission to Champlain College as a degree-seeking student. Non‐degree students are limited to 15 credit hours for undergraduate level courses.
Registering as a Non-Degree Student for Our Burlington Campus
To register as an undergraduate non-degree student at Champlain College, you must complete the following Non-Degree Student Application. All non-degree students are registered on a space available basis one week prior to the start of the term or semester. Financial aid is not available for non-degree students.
