Academic Coach
SMART Space –2nd Floor of the Miller Information Commons (MIC)
(802) 865-5720
hstpeter@champlain.edu

Heidi St. Peter started at Champlain as a part-time Academic Coach midway through the Fall 2017 semester. She came with more than 15 years of experience in higher education, but took a detour in her career to direct a social service outreach center in the North End of Burlington.

Heidi holds a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Michael’s College and earned her Master of Education from the University of Vermont’s Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (HESA) program. She also has a post-graduate certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry from St. Michael’s College, has trained with JST Coaching, Inc., and completed coursework through Landmark College’s professional development certification program.

Whether in residence life, alumni relations, directing a student-led volunteer service program, or in her current full-time work in Academic Support Services at St. Michael’s College, Heidi’s passion lies in being able to walk alongside students and work with them to uncover their passions, potential and innate gifts—some of the best work in the world! She lives with her husband, three children and two guinea pigs, and spends any leftover free time reading, running (her time to listen to podcasts uninterrupted!) and playing around with her kids.
