Our career-focused programs align closely with specific professions—and, because our Upside-Down Curriculum allows you to take courses in your major beginning in your first semester at Champlain, you will be prepared to do productive work in an internship in your field as early as the summer after your first year. Having an established professional skill set upon which you can build will set you apart from others when it comes to securing an internship—which, like the overall job market, is becoming increasingly competitive.

Many companies in the Burlington area favor candidates for internships from Champlain College because our students invariably arrive prepared and eager to learn. To be an exceptional intern, you need know-how, and at Champlain we begin teaching you the skills of your profession immediately. In fact, 89% of 2019 Champlain College graduates completed one or more career-relevant experiential learning opportunity (internship or other professional work experience)—prior to graduation. Our students are also sought after while studying abroad and many find exciting jobs around the world after they graduate.
