The mission of the Robert P. Stiller School of Business is to develop the strengths, integrity, expertise, and entrepreneurial mindset of aspiring and innovative professionals with a goal of driving positive change in their lives, workplaces, communities, and the world.

We offer a comprehensive business curriculum that features extensive real-world experience and covers both the basics and the complexities of how business is conducted in a global economy. Our graduates are not only prepared to thrive in this accelerated age, they are set up to make a lasting impact through their work.

Stiller School of Business Undergraduate Majors

BS in Accounting

Accountants are needed in every industry; this robust major specifically positions you for versatility and growth throughout your career. You will learn the skills necessary to work as an accountant, as well as the communication and critical thinking skills needed to advance in the field. Accounting is also available as a three-year degree, and we offer a double major in Accounting and Finance.

BS in Business Administration

Choose a concentration to hone your experience within the alumni- and employer-informed curriculum of this versatile major. With a solid foundation in business plus a focus of your choice, this program will prepare you for more opportunities in an ever-changing economy and business landscape. Concentrations include:

BS in Finance

Our Finance major is recognized as a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) University Affiliated program, which is one of the most respected and recognized investment credentials in the world. Taught by professors who have worked on Wall Street as investment bankers, research analysts, and portfolio managers, this ambitious major offers a hands-on approach in which you'll use the same tools used by professionals.

BS in Game Business & Publishing

Learn the ins and outs of the game industry by working in it. Collaborating with other game majors in our Game Studio, you'll develop skills in strategy, research, and leadership. You'll learn all the foundations of great business practices with a focus on the specific opportunities, markets, and challenges of game companies and studios.

BS in Game Production Management

One of the few degrees of its kind in the country, this major will teach you how to organize, motivate, and oversee teams of game artists, designers, and programmers. You'll gain insight into the full game creation process and learn to effectively collaborate to bring game concepts to life. You'll graduate with real experience that makes you a top candidate for the jobs you seek.

BS in International Business

Develop expertise in the socioeconomic and cultural forces that affect any international endeavor. Learn to identify international target-market opportunities and challenges, develop import-export strategies, and build short- and long-term business plans for international growth. You'll have plenty of opportunity for global travel, and you can even apply for meaningful internships in Asia—at very little personal cost—through our Freeman Grant.

BS in Marketing

Learn how to reach consumers and motivate them to act. You'll gain hands-on experience in marketing campaigns, analytics, and staying on top of an ever-changing media landscape. Taught by marketing leaders and built on a solid foundation of marketing principles and consumer behavior, this fluid program offers up-to-date best practices in the latest communication platforms.

Experience-Based Learning

At Champlain, we emphasize creative problem solving that fosters innovation and lifelong learning.

Get involved in our on-campus learning centers, where you'll collaborate with others in studio-like environments and put your classroom knowledge to the test on professional projects.

Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE)

The CIE at Champlain College is a multi-disciplinary business incubator. Any student entrepreneur can find the resources they need to bring their business idea to life during their time at Champlain.

The David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry

From Hewlett Packard to Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, United Nations to local school districts, Appreciative Inquiry is used by organizations around the globe to discover and design positive institutions and communities. The Appreciative Inquiry strengths-based philosophy permeates the entire educational approach in the Stiller School.

Emergent Media Center (EMC)

In partnership with businesses, public institutions, and nonprofits, students involved with the EMC collaborate with faculty and clients to develop new concepts, processes, uses, and applications for games and other emergent media. Stiller School students are employed in paid and credit-bearing internship positions while working for real-world clients.



The 2021 Fiske Guide to Colleges selected Champlain as one of the "best and most interesting schools" in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain.


Champlain was named a "Most Innovative School" by U.S. News & World Report in its "America's Best Colleges" 2021 ranking of universities in the North.


Of 2019 graduates from the Robert P. Stiller School of Business are either employed or continuing their education within six months after graduating.

Don't Just Study Abroad—Intern Abroad

Each year since 2013, Robert P. Stiller School of Business students have traveled to Shanghai, China for life-changing internships, courtesy of a prestigious grant from the Freeman Foundation. This year, the program expanded to Kyoto, Japan, and may in the future include other Japanese cities.
