The 2026 Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference is brought to you with support from the Vermont Women’s Fund, which brings Vermonters together to learn, network, and discuss economic issues.

This year’s conference will feature 9 unique workshops, split into morning and afternoon sessions. The Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference was founded by former Senator Patrick Leahy and his wife, Marcelle, and has been held in Vermont for over 25 years. The conference has a long history of bringing Vermonters together to learn, network, and discuss issues in the economic sphere.

Senator Welch is excited to carry on the WEOC legacy and will be hosting the conference at Vermont State University in Randolph, Vermont, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Free and open to the public! Lunch will be provided and will include options for folks with dietary restrictions.

Vermont entrepreneur and founder of GameTheory, Marguerite Dibble, a Champlain College alum (Game Art ’12) and trustee, will be the keynote speaker! Marguerite and her team pivoted an entertainment game development studio into a toolkit for tackling health care, housing, and other societal changes.

Questions about the event, as well as inquiries about accessibility, should be directed to Senator Welch’s office by phone at (802) 863-2525 or by email at weoc@welch.senate.gov. Any accommodation requests should be made by September 14. Visit our website for more information.

You must get to this event on your own; consider carpooling with friends. Please register using your Champlain College email so that we can verify attendance.
