Shirley is a flight simulator coach and copilot for pilots. The vision is sim to sky: They teach people to fly, then they teach Shirley to fly. They collaborate with Sporty’s to help pilots learn, and Shirley has already flown two real cross-country Air Tours as an in-cockpit copilot. Sim training carries into the cockpit: in-flight assistance today, decision support for remote pilots tomorrow – sim to sky.

Before founding FlyShirley, Alex studied aerospace engineering and computer science at MIT, then went on to develop DAA (Detect and Avoid) systems at Boeing Research, and led flight simulation at Beta Technologies and Merlin Labs.
