Create art that speaks, inspires, and transforms.
Art has always been a powerful tool for social change. This MLK Week, we invite you to pick up a brush, grab some ink, and make your voice heard through creative expression.
Activities:
- Denim Tote Screen Printing & Block Printing: We will have denim totes or bring your own denim pieces to transform into wearable statements of justice and hope
- Peace Walk Sign Making: Design bold, meaningful signs to carry in our community Peace Walk (3:00 – 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20)
- And more…
Select pieces will be featured in our collaborative art installation in the CCM building, exploring the theme of “carrying the baggage,” what we hold, what we release, and what we carry forward in the fight for justice.
Come make art. Come make change. Come make your mark.
No artistic experience is necessary, just bring your creativity and commitment to community.
