We’d love to meet you! Join Champlain College Students Demand Action every Thursday as we organize, strategize, and take action to end gun violence in our communities!

What We Do:
At our weekly meetings, we come together to plan advocacy campaigns, organize campus and community events, discuss gun violence prevention policy, and build a movement of young people committed to creating safer communities. Whether you’re passionate about policy research, event planning, social media advocacy, or grassroots organizing, there’s a place for you here. In your first meeting, you can participate by listening to ongoing projects and sharing any ideas you have. We’ll introduce you to a group leader who can answer your questions and help you find your niche in the group.

What to Expect:

  • Updates on local and national gun violence prevention efforts
  • Planning for upcoming events, actions, and awareness campaigns
  • Skill-building workshops on advocacy, organizing, and leadership
  • Connection with a community of students who care about this issue
  • Opportunities to make your voice heard and create real change

Who Should Attend:
Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience with activism or organizing is required! Whether you’re a longtime advocate or just starting to learn about gun violence prevention, we’d love to have you. Experienced members of our group are excited to help newcomers get oriented and make the most of their involvement. Bring your ideas, your energy, and your commitment to building a safer future.

When: Thursdays at 6:00 PM, meetings typically last about one hour
Where: CCM 424

Together, we can end gun violence. See you there!
