The Dean’s Cup is the Grossman School of Business’ very own case competition. The GDC provides teams of 2 to 4 undergraduate students with all backgrounds and levels of experience the chance to apply their analytical skills outside the classroom, practice their presentation skills, and have fun! It’s also a great chance for underclassmen students to prepare for larger case competitions and bolster their resumes. This is a one-day event on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, Vermont Town Meeting Day!

What is a Case Competition? A case competition is an event where students collaborate to solve a real-world business problem. With a limited timeframe, students must analyze the scenario, come up with a solution, and present their recommendation to a panel of judges. Case competitions are a great resume builder and experiential learning opportunity to supplement a business or liberal arts education.

We want YOU!

We are excited this year to expand our student-run case competition to include teams from universities within the region! That includes Champlain College! We ask that external teams have a faculty advisor who can help coordinate logistics to and from the competition. What we need is YOU –smart, engaged students who want to expand their skills in presentation and problem-solving. Once you have selected your team, please register here by February 1st.

The Dean’s Cup is FREE to participate in and is held on a single day. Not only is the Dean’s Cup up for grabs, but students will also compete for $3,000 in cash prizes!
