Is the darkness this time of year getting you down? Use a happy light! Happy lights are now available across campus to help brighten your day—literally. What’s a Happy Light? A Happy light is a UV-free light therapy lamp that mimics sunlight. Consistent use can help combat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and improve mood, sleep, and energy. Instructions for safe use are included with all happy lights on campus. Where Can I Find Them? Happy lights are located in IDX Fireside Lounge, and on the third, second, and ground floors of MIC (Library). Looking to use it in your own space? Check out a light from the MIC circulation desk for 24 hours. Questions About Happy Lights or Your Health? Contact the Student Health Center with questions or to schedule an appointment.
