Pre-Application Checklist

  Consult with your Educational Services Officer (ESO) or Counselor within your military service.

  Official high school transcript or GED.

  Official transcripts from all institutions attended prior to Champlain.

  Military Transcripts from Joint Services or Air Force - CCAF.

 

How to Apply as a Servicemember (Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserves)

Contact Your Military Education Office

You must receive approval from your Education Services Officer (ESO) or education counselor prior to enrolling.

Choose a Degree Program

To be eligible for military benefits, such as Tuition Assistance, you will need to select an academic program

Apply to Champlain

If you are applying to the Animation, Creative Media, Filmmaking, Game Art, Game Design, or Graphic Design & Visual Communication majors, please send us your portfolio. View the portfolio requirements and submission instructions.

Submit School & Military Transcripts

School Transcripts: You will need to submit transcripts from any institution of higher education that you attended prior to Champlain College.
Military Transcripts: Learn how to get your Joint Services Transcripts or Air Force - CCAF Transcripts.

Apply for Veterans Education Benefits (optional but recommended)

If you'd like to use veterans education benefits before you separate, you'll need to complete the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Education Benefits Application, which allows you to determine your level of education benefits.


How to Apply as a Veteran

Choose a Degree Program

To be eligible for veterans benefits, you will need to select an academic program.

Complete the Veterans Online Application

Visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website to apply for veterans education benefits.

It can take four to six weeks for the VA to issue your Certificate of Eligibility.
