Speaking From Experience, a lecture series sponsored by BYOBiz, has been host to many leading entrepreneurs, including Alan Newman co-founder Magic Hat Brewing Company, the late Andy McKelvey, builder of Monster.com, Win Smith, principal owner of Sugarbush Resort and Liz Robert, principal owner of Terry Precision Cycling. Chuck Maniscalco – on leadership
Before joining Champlain College as VP of Strategic Initiatives, Chuck built an illustrious career as senior executive for Quaker Oats and Pepsico, and later as CEO of Seventh Generation. At Pepsico, Chuck was CEO of a $10 billion food and beverage business that included such megabrands as Tropicana, Gatorade and Quaker, and employed over 10,000 people. Upon retiring from Pepsico, the company created the Chuck Maniscalco Manifest Leadership Award, which is given annually to 3 associates. Chuck's talk will focus on his ideas about leadership. Laura Fitton – social media entrepreneur
Laura Fitton has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures since graduating from Cornell in 1994 with a degree in Environmental Science. More recently, she has become a force in the social media field, founding both Pistachio Consulting and One Forty, a Twitter related venture that was selected to participate in Boston Techstars (a leading tech business accelerator) and subsequently raised over $2 million in venture capital.
