Things to Do

Burlington collage

Families are usually surprised and impressed when they visit Burlington. Just down the hill from Champlain's main campus is Burlington's downtown scene. Set near Lake Champlain, you can hear live performances while eating local foods on the pedestrian-only Church Street, or take a stroll through the Farmers Market on Saturdays. Burlington offers restaurants, coffee bars, shopping, music venues and varied cultural opportunities within a quick walk from campus.

Lake Champlain's waterfront, ECHO aquarium and science center, and the 12-mile Burlington Bike Path are within a short walk of campus. World-class skiing, snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking are within an hour's drive. Whether you're a student, parent or just visiting, you'll be sure to find something you love in Burlington.
