Faculty-Led Courses

These short-term programs give you the opportunity to earn academic credit and gain a study abroad experience!

Faculty-led trips are a great way to have an international experience while only leaving the country for a short period of time.

Champlain offers faculty-led courses that typically take place during a break with the first half of the class happening pre-travel and then more class happening after travel to allow for discussion and synthesis. You’ll participate in field trips, workshops, cultural immersions, and hands-on projects that complement the course curriculum.

Faculty-led courses offer an exceptional opportunity to dive deeply into specific topics while experiencing firsthand the cultural and social aspects of the host country.

Upcoming Faculty-Led Trips

Faculty-led courses have more requirements than most courses at Champlain College:

  • Students must be in good academic standing and pass a discipline review.
  • Students must get permission from the faculty member before registering for the course (some faculty members require an application for their course.)
  • Initial deposits must be made and contracts of participation must be signed soon after the registration period.

If you are interested in one of these courses, it is best to start by contacting the faculty member(s).

At the moment, there are no faculty led classes being planned. We usually have several each year so check in with our office to see what is coming up.
