A successful game designer can adapt quickly to new technology and develop new ideas in the face of changing trends. Working on a team to meet studio deadlines, game design professionals must be effective communicators with strong time management skills.
Our Upside-Down Curriculum allows you to begin taking your Game Design classes beginning in your first semester, giving you four years to hone these professional skills and practice game design work.
Extend your education
At Champlain, each minor is available to students in almost any major. As a Game Design student, you might be interested in enhancing your education with a minor such as Interactive Narrative, Mathematics, or Psychology.
Explore all minors.
Do you pay extra attention to the music, sounds, and dialogue of your favorite games? Champlain's Game Design major offers an optional concentration in Sonic Arts for students interested in diving into game audio.
