Students applying to the Filmmaking (BFA) major should demonstrate an ability to portray an interesting story through video or writing as well as an ability to create engaging visual images. Samples should highlight their passion, style, and point of view. The faculty will evaluate submissions based on these criteria. Please contact your Admissions Counselor for specific questions on the Filmmaking (BFA) Portfolio Review requirement.
To be fully considered for admission into the Filmmaking (BFA) major, you must submit one of the following to Slideroom for the Portfolio Review:

You can tell a lot about people by simply speaking with them. We encourage virtual Personal Interviews for high school seniors and transfer students interested in applying to Champlain. The conversation is casual—it's like two friends getting to know one another.

File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by these dates to ensure that your financial aid award includes all of the institutional and federal aid you are eligible to receive. If you complete your FAFSA after these dates we will still determine all of your award eligibility, it will just take longer from the time you received your Admissions notification to get this information to you.
