Since 1878, Champlain has been preparing passionate students for rewarding careers and successful lives. In fact, Champlain started out as a preparatory college, offering one- and two-year programs, with day classes for traditional students and evening classes for working professionals, until expanding its offerings to bachelor's degrees in the 1990s.
So, we get it. We know what it's like to be working toward an immediate goal and, at the same time, planning your long game. You've been working on building your skills, exploring your interests, and figuring out the direction you want to go. And now that you're ready to transfer (or thinking about it), we'll help you take the next step towards your future—you're closer than you think to the career of your dreams.
We also understand that the application process of transfer students differs from those of first time students, and we have dedicated professionals to help you with the application, transfer credit questions, the decision to start in the spring or fall, transferring of financial aid information and much more. While it can feel daunting to "start over" in a new school, here, you become a part of our welcoming family. You'll also become an integral part of a community of educators, artists, business people and others, both on campus and in the greater Burlington area.
