Champlain College provides coverage for full-time (37.5–40 hours per week) faculty and staff. Single, two-person, or family coverage may be elected. Spouses, dependents, and civil union partners are eligible for coverage. The College offers a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA). The HSA is for employees who participate in the HDHP. The College funds a portion of this account (currently 60% of the yearly deductible). College funding occurs each payroll cycle. Health Equity is the HSA provider.
Cigna is the medical provider and utilizes in and out-of network coverage options which are available as well as prescription coverage.

We are excited to announce that Champlain College is offering a new program to employees and their covered dependents (age 18+) who are enrolled in the Champlain medical plan. The program, Omada, is a digital lifestyle change program that can help you lose weight, feel fantastic, and develop long-term healthy habits.
If you or your covered dependents are at risk for diabetes or heart disease, and are accepted into the program, you are eligible to receive the program at no additional cost.

Two levels of coverage, basic and enhanced, includes an eye exam each year, prescription lenses, frames, or contact lenses on a yearly or every other year basis.
