Transportation & Parking
In Bader, MIC, and Summit Parking lots, you will find kiosk style parking meters that are referred to as "Pay and Display". These meters will be operational between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday, when school is in session.
OCTOBER 9, 2013 UPDATE: Upon hearing your feedback and with our observation of the Summit Lot, the Transportation Committee has decided to temporarily open up the 56 Summit Lot to Zone 3 & 4 permit holders to use. The parking meter station in that parking lot only will be taken off-line until further notice. We will likely return Summit Lot to metered parking spaces when the CCM project begins in March 2014, as this will remove Bader Lot from our available parking. Zone 2 permit holders (Gilbane) may still use this lot after 4pm. Zone 1 permit holders (Lakeside) may still use the metered parking at the Hauke/Bader and MIC parking lots.
*Master Card, Visa, Amex, and Discover can be used. There is a one hour minimum if you use a credit card.
Each 15 minute block costs 25 cents. The machine does not make change.
Any Champlain faculty, staff, or commuter student can use the metered spots for 4 hour maximum when the meters are on (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm) and for free all other hours. A Champlain permit is required—including the FREE zone 1 (Lakeside) permit.
Visitors to campus, including guest speakers, may use these parking spots for free, but they must have a visitor parking permit, which their hosts can get from the Parking Office.
Those with a handicapped permit may use these spaces for free at any time.
Residential students may only use these parking spots after 4pm, Monday-Friday and on weekends.
