Bolton Valley Sunset

Powder Up

Nestled in northern Vermont, Champlain is within an hour's drive to some of the best Vermont snow. With over 40 mountain resorts, students are often found hitting the trails on the weekends and after class. And, with such a strong ski and ride community on campus, it's easy to find students to carpool with.

Champlain Students Ski and Ride Sugarbush

Champlain wants to help you experience the many joys of living in Vermont, two of these being skiing and boarding. With the Sugarbush Pass, you'll hit the slopes after only a 45-minute drive from campus.

The Sugarbush Ski Resort is divided into two mountain areas: Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen. The Sugarbush pass is available to all full-time, part-time (taking 6 credits or more per semester) and graduate students working towards a degree for $30. The Champlain College $30 student pass will allow access to Mt. Ellen, one of the few mountains in Vermont to exceed 4,000 feet. Students also have the option to upgrade to the $100 all-access pass to Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen.

Sugarbush Ski Resort also offers another deal available to college students, the Threesome College Pass. For $359, students can ski at Mad River Glen, Mt. Ellen and Lincoln Peak.

How to Purchase

Throughout the winter, Sugarbush Ski Resort will be tabling in the IDX Student Life Center outside the cafeteria. They come to campus about eight times a year to sell passes on the spot, and these times and dates will be advertised in the Stall Street Journal and posters around campus.

Students can also contact Sugarbush directly by calling 1-800-53SUGAR.
