Biography

John Boyd is on Sabbatical, Fall 2021 Semester.

Boyd teaches all years and multiple topics within the Game Design curriculum including game design, system design, and level design.

Recent Works

As a game designer, Boyd helped develop eight titles on a variety of development platforms including PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Notable titles include: Rage (Xbox 360, PS3, PC), Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Xbox 360, PS3, PC), Kinect Star Wars (Xbox 360), Medal of Honor: Airborne (Xbox 360), Luxor3 (PC), and Sin Episodes: Emergence (PC).

Personal Activities

Boyd built himself an e-bike in 2016 and uses it to commute to work. Not buying gas, not having to pay for registration or insurance, and not polluting the air during his commute are nice things. Being able to park it in his office is also a plus.
