In today’s fast-moving world, having the skills to to collect, analyze, and interpret data is more important than ever. There is a strong demand for business-savvy employees with an analytical mindset, and data and technical literacy are becoming must-have proficiencies for all professionals. Many industry outlook reports predict the demand for business-related analysts to increase substantially, with above-average salaries for those positions. The Business Analytics minor at Champlain College provides the skills that are increasingly important for success in any field.
The 15- to 18-credit Business Analytics minor complements any major by focusing on the translation between business problems and analytical solutions, and is open to all Champlain students. After completing this minor, you’ll be able to solve problems and assist in making critical business decisions using informed data analysis.

Students with a minor in Business Analytics will be prepared to work with data analysts and data scientists to develop an analytical approach to problem solving. They will also be equipped to help clients or non-analysts understand and draw meaningful and actionable conclusions from data.
