Real-Time 3-D Modeling Minor

WHY MINOR IN REAL-TIME 3-D MODELING?

Using real-time 3-D (or RT3D) technology, users can interact with 3-D objects and environments that render in real time, faster than the human eye can detect.

Champlain's Real-Time 3-D Modeling minor is focused on the creation of 3-D art for use in real-time media like games, virtual reality, augmented reality, and virtual film production. Students build and refine their skills in the artistic and technical areas needed to create high-quality 3-D models and textures.

Advances in RT3D technologies are having a lasting impact on industries like film and TV production, product design and manufacturing, architectural visualization, training and simulation, marketing, and more; professionals with RT3D experience are in high demand throughout these industries.

The Real-Time 3-D Modeling minor at Champlain is a great fit for students majoring in design-related fields or who have extracurricular design experience. Building RT3D skills in college can lead to valuable career opportunities after graduation.
