No matter how well you prepare to apply to colleges, there are bound to be some questions that pop up along the way. We are available to you at all times when the College is open, so feel free to call, email, live chat, or stop by the Welcome & Admissions Center at Roger H. Perry Hall. We are happy to help!
But for those questions that may occur to you at random hours of the night—or at other times when you might want answers, but the College is closed—we put together this list of Frequently Asked Questions.
Early Decision is a great option for students who know that Champlain is where they want to be for college. Since you can only apply Early Decision to one school, we should be your top choice!
The advantages of applying Early Decision are:
There are two Early Decision deadlines:
Our Early Decision I (ED I) deadline is November 15, and our Early Decision II (ED II) deadline is December 15. Students who apply by the ED I deadline will receive their decision by mid-December, and will be considered first for admission to Champlain College (which is particularly useful for students applying to competitive majors with number caps). Students who apply by the ED II deadline will receive their decision by mid-January, and will be considered before Regular Decision students. The earlier you apply, the less competitive the application process will be.

Champlain is a test-optional school. What does that mean to you as an applicant? If you would like us to consider your standardized test scores, by all means, feel free to include them with your submitted application. If you would rather us consider your application without them, we are happy to do that as well.
You can tell a lot about people by simply speaking with them. We encourage virtual Personal Interviews for high school seniors and transfer students interested in applying to Champlain. The conversation is casual—it's like two friends getting to know one another.
