Senator Patrick Leahy Center for Digital Investigation (LCDI)

The Senator Patrick Leahy Center for Digital Investigation (LCDI) gives Computer & Digital Forensic majors an unparalleled opportunity to work in a real digital forensics investigation lab where they work alongside professional digital forensics investigators and law enforcement officials conducting investigations.

The LCDI is a world-class laboratory designed to international standards, focused on establishing and assisting with public and private sector initiatives surrounding cybercrime, digital forensics and information assurance. The LCDI provides computer forensics and digital investigation operational support, training, research, and other technical services to assist law enforcement agencies in Vermont and throughout the nation in areas related to computer forensics and other digital investigations.

As a leader in the Digital Forensic higher education arena, Champlain College and the LCDI offer students an opportunity to gain a hands-on learning experience  by participating in professional-level lab work at both the undergraduate and graduate levels through internships and and student employment.
