Cole is the Health and Medical Office Coordinator at the Champlain College Student Health Center. He just recently started his position at Champlain College and as recent college graduate himself, lends a welcoming perspective to the students. In his free time, Cole enjoys being outdoors, photography, and listening to a wide range of music.

Annika Hawkins-Hilke

Biography

Annika Hawkins-Hilke is a per diem Nurse Practitioner at the Student Health Center. Prior to this role, she served as the Assistant Vice President of Student Health & Wellbeing and Medical Director. Annika is a trained Family Nurse Practitioner and her background includes additional training and years of experience in mental health and psychiatry. Annika is passionate about building community and supporting our students as they explore the relationship between their personal wellbeing, academic success, and life goals. Annika finds joy in exploring the mountains and lakes of Vermont with her family in all seasons, gardening in her backyard, and sourdough bread toasted with butter.

What are your hobbies?

Skiing, camping, boating! Reading, cooking, gardening!

Favorite local eateries and things to do in Vermont:

I love to go for runs in the Intervale, swim in Lake Champlain and swimming holes in rivers around the state, and ski our mountains in the winter. Vermont honey crisp apples and maple syrup make my heart sing!

Tara Chasnoff

Biography

Tara is thrilled to be working at Champlain College Student Health Center and feels passionate about empowering and educating college students to take charge of their health. She comes to Champlain with over 15 years of nurse practitioner experience which includes working in two other university student health centers. In addition, she continues to work at the Community Health Centers of Burlington where she has been delivering primary care for the past 12 years. Tara was born and raised in Brooklyn but has lived in Burlington for the past 16 years where she is raising her two fabulous daughters and her feisty Havanese. She loves yoga, reading, dance, and long hikes in the Adirondacks.

Diana Clayton

Biography

Diana is the Medical Director of the Student Health Center at Champlain College. She enjoys creating environments where individuals thrive and feel motivated to be their best selves, and applies this energy to her work with patients as well as staff. When not in her office, she is usually playing on the lake or the mountains that surround her home.

Jenny Evans First

Biography

I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner for almost 15 years in Burlington, at the Community Health Centers of Burlington and Champlain College. I received my nursing license and degree at the University of Vermont. I love working with young people – learning their stories and particular interests, strengths and challenges and helping them learn to care for themselves. I love to play outdoors with my family and friends, particularly mountain biking, skiing and hiking. I also love to read, fiction mostly, spend time in museums, fresh grapefruit and bodysurfing. I am learning to play pickleball.

What are your hobbies?

I love to read, ride my bike, play in the ocean, hike and hang out with my family and friends.

Maryann Lisak

Biography

Maryann Lisak is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Champlain College Student Health Center. She has past experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a crisis setting, intensive outpatient program setting, and in primary care.

Hannah Marton

Biography

Hannah is the Clinical Operations and Health Promotion Coordinator at the Champlain College Student Health Center. Prior to this position, Hannah worked as the Student Health Center’s Medical Office Coordinator. Hannah embraces her background in social work as the foundation for her professional and personal life. She values working directly with and in service to our students, recognizing that the unique needs of the individual impact the collective needs of the Champlain community. In her free time, Hannah enjoys being outdoors amongst all the natural beauty that Vermont has to offer.

Hiking, skiing, boating — anything outdoors! Spending quality time with friends and family!

Megan Mogerley

Biography

Megan is a native Vermonter who works at the Champlain College Student Health Center. She is trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner and came to Champlain College in 2023 from a busy medical office where she worked as a primary care provider for a diverse patient population. She has years of experience and training in mental health, gender affirming care, and specifically enjoys working with college students to help support them in learning to manage and care for their own unique health needs.

When not at work, she enjoys running, reading, gardening, and making things with her hands.

Lauren Ziegelman

Biography

Lauren works as the staff nurse at the Student Health Center. Her nursing passions include sexual and reproductive healthcare, gender-affirming care, and mental health. Prior to joining the SHC team, she was a pediatric ER nurse in Wilmington, DE. As a native Vermonter, when not at work, Lauren enjoys spending as much time outside as possible: hiking, biking, or running.
