Social Clubs

The Asian Student Association was created to make a safe space and learning environment for people who identify as Asian and/or want to know more about Asian culture. The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month and hosts various events throughout the year.

Black Student Union (BSU) is a student-run group with a threefold mission. (1) We create a safe space and supportive environment for students of color to express their opinions, ideas, and cultures. (2) We increase awareness and appreciation for Black history, culture, and issues through educational events, cultural celebrations, and open and engaging conversations. (3) We support and advocate for issues that affect students of color.

Brotherhood Brunch invites men of color to join an intergenerational discourse including students, faculty, staff, and community members. Enjoy brunch and discuss topics relevant to your intersecting identities. These events are hosted by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion each semester.

Through prayer, activities, and events, we seek to foster and grow a faith-based community at Champlain College. In union with the Catholic Center at UVM, we walk with students in answering the call to holiness. Our club is open to students of all faiths or no faith at all.

Are you looking to engage with the supernatural on a weekly basis? Then become a Champlain Supernatural Investigator! In addition to semi-regular ghost hunts, we also watch movies and TV shows, play games, and do other activities, all with a spooky edge. We welcome anyone and everyone that's interested in the things that go bump in the night...

The Champlain Republican Club is an academic organization whose goal is to provide a forum where Champlain College students, regardless of their political affiliation, can analyze and debate republican/conservative ideals. This club strives to provide students with information regarding republican ideas, whether it be in the form of student based discussions, engaging political guest speakers, or by simple exposure and analysis of reputable political based news sources. The Champlain Republican Club also intends to hold information sessions and debates within the Champlain community to promote political diversity, communal development, and constructive political discourse among students, faculty and staff. This club will encourage all Champlain students to engage in the political world by providing discussions and information on current political topics as well as encouraging eligible students to exercise their right to vote.

Include+ hosts weekly gatherings for LGBTQ+ students and allies to come hang out. This club provides a safe, welcoming space for any student involved in the queer community. Some activities we have done at club meetings in the past include video games, board games, chess, PowerPoint presentation nights, pizza parties, and nail painting. We also march in the Burlington Pride Parade each year with the Women's & Gender Center.

Explore Japanese culture through games and activities! Learn a bit of the language and history, have fun, and meet people who share an interest in Japanese culture. Please feel free to stop by! We will have weekly meetings and more information on Discord.

This is an affinity group for women and female-identifying people of color who attend Champlain College. It is a safe, welcoming, and fun space to uplift black, brown, and indigenous voices and creates and fosters a community at a PWI.

We promote an appreciation for stepping and focus on introducing African American culture and the arts to the community of Burlington. Soul Food Step is about giving underrepresented students of color on this campus a means to speak out through the art form of stepping.

Yarn for Good is a club where people can gather to knit and crochet, learn how to do so, and have the opportunity to donate to a local organization. People can work on their own projects and interact with students and staff or can work on a project like a hat, scarf, or blanket which they wish to donate.
