We aim to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where students of color can freely share their opinions, ideas, and cultural heritage. We seek to enhance understanding and appreciation of the histories, cultures, and issues pertinent to students of color through educational events, cultural celebrations, and open, engaging dialogues. We are committed to advocating for and addressing issues that impact these students, striving to create a community that is inclusive and aware of diverse perspectives. Black Student Union wants to build a network between students of color on campus and the community around them by partnering with different BIPOC organizations for movie nights, youth Fridays, and more.

The Mathematics Club is for all students who are interested in mathematics and its applications to real life. We celebrate math, the joy that it can bring when you’re silly about it, and the positive impact it can have. Most of our meetings are explorations of strange or fun math topics. Every spring, we take students to The Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference, where they can give talks about any math-related topic they are passionate about. We also help throw the yearly Pi Day celebration in the library.
