The Social Work minor is a great support to the majors in the School of Social Innovation and beyond, with a curriculum that will focus on practicing empathy, reflection, and interpersonal communication.
You will learn how to apply the theories of human behavior to real case work and social justice environments, which will aid you in your career. By demonstrating skills in engagement and understanding systems of oppression and inequality, you will be better equipped to work with people in any field.
The Social Work Minor is an especially great fit for prospective Criminology & Criminal Justice or Psychology majors, but is also a great fit for those in Law and Education as well. The casework and interpersonal skills are greatly beneficial, and a Social Work advisor will help students figure out which electives meet their career goals.
