Editorial Style Guide

Questioning how to refer to a specific building on campus, whether to capitalize a title or how to abbreviate a degree? We created the Champlain College Editorial Style Guide to help. The Style Guide is intended to standardize Champlain's nomenclature and writing style in print and online publications.

We update the Style Guide frequently, and with each update, we indicate those items that changed or were added since the last version by highlighting them in yellow. For this reason, it is best not to print the Guide, but to bookmark it to ensure you’re referencing the latest version.
