Learn by Doing

Employers tell us that Champlain College students are, well…different. They’re more prepared. They’re more excited. They’re ready to hit the ground running. And this is by design.

Professional experiences and opportunities are woven into everything we do at Champlain, which means you’ll graduate with real-world experience on your resume and in your portfolio. That’s the power of our career-focused academics.

Intern at Home & Abroad

    Intern Early, Intern Often

Internships aren’t exclusive to Champlain College, but the number of internships our students complete is! Our upside-down curriculum allows you to take major-related courses starting your first year—that means you can get the skills, knowledge, and experience that many other students don’t gain until their junior year. Some students complete as many as eight to ten internships before they graduate.

The classes I have taken at Champlain go beyond the textbook—they teach things as they happen in the real world. This gave me an edge and allowed me to jump right into the work.
