Why Minor in Computer Science?

The Computer Science minor is an excellent supplement to majors of all disciplines, whether that be the humanities, technology, business, etc. Becoming familiar with programming languages looks great on your resume and can be applied to many majors within the ITS division. As a Computer Science minor you will learn how to apply mathematical foundations and computing theorems in the modeling and design of solutions and develop the skills to solve problems through computing. You will apply industry standards to software and systems development projects within the curriculum and develop a well-rounded skill set that will aid you in your career.
