Art & Entertainment Clubs

We are a student run drama club that produces two shows a year and has a great time!

Champlain Crochet is a space for people to de-stress and crochet in an easygoing but invigorating environment. Whether you're an expert or know nothing about crochet, the club is a space for everyone to learn and support one another.

Bringing your own supplies is not required for participation, but is encouraged. If you have extra yarn, hooks, stitch markers, etc, please bring them for others to borrow if you feel comfortable sharing!

The club will be loosely structured like a drawing class. There will be themes, zines, snacks, and figure drawing which will be by volunteering club members taking turns (clothed) and maybe a hired model a couple of times during each semester if permitted. Unlike a real class, there's NO PRESSURE to attend, get graded, or critiqued. We are thinking of doing optional light-hearted critiques. The goal is to have drawing be fun and give students from any major a place to work on drawing.

The Grind is a safe and affirming space where people get on stage and express themselves through performance. It's a place to hang out with friends and to meet new friends. Established in 2000, The Grind is run by student staff, always has good coffee and snacks, and has an awesome sound system.

We are the school's unofficial Improv Group! Improv is a performance comedy where the actors (troupe members) have to say yes to prompts given by the audience. It creates hilarious scenes to watch and to be a part of. We perform 2-3 shows a semester!

SotA's goal is to create a welcoming environment for students already involved as well as totally removed from the art community on campus. We want to offer meetings where students can meet each other outside their major and also hang out with their friends. Additionally we strive to teach students about a new artistic medium every week and engage with other clubs to engage them in the arts as well.

The purpose of this club is to explore strange, obscure, or unusual niches in the gaming world. We will meet bi-monthly to play and discuss one (free) game that fits that description. The premise is similar to a book club, but with strange games instead.

We wish to be open to anyone who shares our appreciation of horror and the movies that fall within that genre.

We provide a social place where people can meet peers with similar interests while spending time taking a break from the stress of classes.
