Your success in our programs is important to us
For some majors, submitting a portfolio of your work is a required step in the admissions process. The purpose of the portfolio submission is to evaluate your development as a creator and assess your ability to thrive in the program you’ve selected. We are looking for evidence of enthusiasm for the kind of work each major requires along with some of the basic technical and cognitive skills you’ll need to succeed in our fast-moving curriculum.
All portfolio submissions will be reviewed by the faculty of each respective major. Please upload your required portfolio to the major in Slideroom that corresponds to the one in which you are applying for admission.

Animation (BFA)
7+ works of art in 5 separate files that demonstrate a strong aesthetic sense and a passion for both the traditional and digital visual arts.

Creative Media (BFA)
A new piece of work in response to the theme, 5 additional samples of your work, and a personal statement about your creative process.

Filmmaking (BFA)
An original video/film piece (up to 5 minutes), or a 3-5 page screenplay, or 5-7 visual pieces that demonstrate storytelling skills.

Game Art (BS)
7 artworks presented in 5 separate files, including traditional/digital art, 2D/3D characters, environments, models, animations, or sculptures.

Game Design (BS)
Design and document a simple board game with its own board, pieces, and optional elements that incorporate the given theme.

Graphic Design & Visual Communication (BFA)
5+ pieces, with at least 2 drawing examples and 3 photos or images, plus a short narrative about one selected piece.
