Champlain Game Programming Graduates Are Ready

In addition to the extensive career-focused programs and support offered college-wide, each of Champlain's career-focused majors features learning opportunities and programs that help our students create highly marketable résumés. Highlights include:

  • All members of the Game Programming faculty are professionals in their field, which is an essential factor in our students getting the most cutting-edge education in the field possible.
  • The Game Programming major is an intense and challenging degree built on a foundation of math, programming skills, and software engineering practices. With this base, students then explore subsystems that add graphics, physics, and artificial intelligence into modern game engines.
  • Students take this technical expertise and collaborate in the Champlain Game Studio with artists, animators, designers, project managers, and publishers to create functioning games.
  • Game Programming students typically take at least one intensive game industry internship over the course of their program, which gives them stellar résumés and often great employer recommendations.
  • In the Game Programming Capstone class, seniors work together with all other game majors with the end goal of creating a professional quality game.
