Champlain College Prepares You to Do Great Work in Your Field

We want you to be well prepared for your first internship, externship, or other relevant fieldwork. After your first year of exploratory practical education, you'll be ready to work with your Career Advisor to take the next step.

Local and national employers turn to Champlain for college interns because they are better prepared to work in professional environments than the majority of their peers from other institutions. Many Champlain graduates receive full- and part-time job offers from the organizations where they first took their internships or externships.

  • Champlain's Upside-Down Curriculum ensures you get lots of classroom learning and practical experience within your major from your first semester. As early as your second semester of college, you'll have the field-specific skills that employers are looking for in their interns.
  • Our Career Collaborative will help you develop your professional résumé and build your interview confidence. Early on in your studies, you'll be able to effectively show employers what you know.
  • Your professors become steadfast mentors—they'll share industry advice, guide you toward co-curricular activities that enhance your résumé, help you determine your professional interests, and more.
