Internships

As a student in the Interaction Design major at Champlain College, you'll enjoy plentiful opportunities to bring your learning into the workplace.

Build interaction design skills in the classroom and use them on the job. You'll practice communicating with colleagues, adapting your tools and techniques to new environments, and trying various approaches to problem-solving. An internship allows you to understand how your skills can be best put to use in your career—what do you love working on, and how might you shape your professional goals based on what you've learned?

Champlain students have held a variety of user experience (UX) design and interactive media internships:

  • ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain // UX Designer // Burlington, VT
  • Irish Arts Center // Programming/Production, New Media, Development & Marketing Intern // New York, NY
  • Champlain College Emergent Media Center // UX Designer // Burlington, VT

Your Career Coach will help you find internships and part-time jobs that align with your major and interests. You'll have help creating your résumé and preparing for interviews—and after just one year of classes, you'll have the specific technical skills to help you earn a valuable position in your field.
